Your contribution will be used to plant one African Blackwood tree at a school in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania. Tree nurseries at schools serve as valuable educational tools, as well as providing future income to benefit each school. You will receive a photo of the tree and the students who will care for the tree! This perk has a fair market value of $5.
Your contribution will cover a portion of the cost for one teacher to teach in Tanzania for three weeks. Full room and board is $30 per teacher, per day, totaling $630 per teacher for 3 weeks in Tanzania. You will receive a hand crafted gift from Tanzania as a token of our appreciation! This perk has a fair market value of $10.
Your contribution will cover a portion of the cost of classroom supplies, including a musical instrument, books, and meals, for one student at Korongoni Secondary School. You will receive a letter of thanks from the student who receives this gift of sponsorship and a handcrafted gift from a local artist! This perk has a fair market value of $25.
Student field trips are just as educational as they are fun! Students residing in the densely populated areas of Tanzania rarely, have the opportunity to experience the beauty of the natural environment that exists just outside the main town. Field trips with Clarinets for Conservation utilize valuable teaching resources adapted from the Project Learning Tree curriculum (www.plt.org). Your contribution will cover the cost of travel, meals, and teaching supplies for 30 Korongoni Secondary students. You will receive a letter of thanks from the students as well as a hand carved African Blackwood gift! This perk has a fair market value of $25.
Your contribution will pay for a portion of one flight to Tanzania. Five teachers will be traveling to Tanzania and each round trip flight cost is approximately $2,000. As a gift of thanks, we will provide you with a free chamber music performance at the date and location of your choice! Have a party or special event coming up? This is a great way to secure a top notch group of chamber musicians for your event AND provide the opportunity of music education to a student in Tanzania! This perk has a fair market value of $25.
