Help Us Create the Future

The Project

We want to design and create a system of self-assembling robots on smaller scales. Initially, the shapes can be two-dimensional, but eventually we would like to build them up to three-dimensional structures because those would be much more adaptable and productive in the real world. We hope to use our technological advancements to progress a number of different fields and build the framework for a more sustainable version of 3D printing.

Our project has a ton of exciting potential applications. The application we envision the most is as the aforementioned reusable 3D printer, where the bots can assemble into one shape and hold it until they are told to change into a different shape. Or, nanobots can be very helpful in the medical field. Their size allows them to enter the body and move through smaller passageways such as the bloodstream and accomplish a great number of tasks.

Levels
Choose a giving level

$10

Desert Sand

This level will buy enough materials to develop a handful of macroscale prototypes.

$25

Glass Sand

This level will help us towards our goal of scaling down robots to the millimeter scale and smaller!

$50

Volcanic Sand

This will help members get necessary training and rent equipment that lets us work on the microscale! Your name will also be featured on our website as a donor!

$100

Olivine Sand

A generous donation will help us design and create custom circuitry and construct rapid prototypes on smaller scales! An extra special mention on our website, plus a shout-out on our social media at the end of the campaign! (If you want a mention, email us your socials. Otherwise, we will assume you do not want to be mentioned.)
