There are more than 20,000 active Black Terps who have graduated from the University of Maryland, many of whom are recognized as leaders in their profession and community. Black Alumni Weekend will reconnect Terps with one another and the university, fostering a sense of community and celebrating the achievements of Black Terps.
Black Alumni Weekend is a joint effort between the University of Maryland Alumni Association and a group of highly motivated alumni who have been advocating for this type of event for many years. The weekend is supported by the University of Maryland Alumni Association in partnership with Student Affairs. Your donation can help to provide program support for Black Alumni Weekend and establish it as a tradition for years to come.
The inaugural Black Alumni Weekend will take place April 22 - 24, 2022, and we expect more than 400 Black Terps to come back to College Park to attend. The weekend will be anchored by three signature events, with over 15 other campus organizations, schools and colleges hosting additional programs.
