SGA Student Leadership Grant

ABOUT US

The University of Maryland Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the primary representative body for all undergraduate students. We form resolutions to address student concerns, assist student groups in their missions and programming, and advocate for students through the appropriate university, local, state, and national government channels. Through our efforts and outreach, we strive to create a better undergraduate experience and community at the University of Maryland, College Park.

OUR PROJECT: THE STUDENT LEADERSHIP GRANT

The Student Leadership Grant will help financially in-need student leaders by allowing them to spend less time working to pay for college and more time acting as on campus change-makers and student advocates for their fellow Terps. By providing the funds these student leaders would normally work to earn as income at a part-time job, this scholarship will give student leaders at UMD the chance to more easily professionally develop, gain leadership skills, and have the chance to make impactful change on campus before they graduate.

WHY DONATE?

By donating even the smallest amount, you can help the UMD SGA work to make our entire campus community a more prosperous one that produces successful graduates with leadership experience. The funds raised through this Launch campaign will help us make student leadership opportunities a reality for all Terps, regardless of their financial status.

Gifts in support of the University of Maryland are accepted and managed by the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc., an affiliated 501(c)(3) organization authorized by the Board of Regents.  Contributions to the University of Maryland are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Please see your tax advisor for details.
