Send QUEST to Silicon Valley

What is QUEST?

Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) is a multidisciplinary program for University of Maryland undergraduate students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, the A. James Clark School of Engineering, and the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. Students participate in a challenging course of study that focuses on innovation, quality systems management, and teamwork.

New Learning Opportunity: The Design and Innovation in Silicon Valley Trip

In QUEST, we learn about design, innovation, and quality by studying the operations of Silicon Valley companies from afar. This trip will provide us with the opportunity to learn first-hand from the design firms of this area. Topics covered will include utilizing the voice of the customer and design strategies employed to improve design quality.

In addition to learning about these important concepts, we will cultivate relationships with QUEST alumni and Bay Area organizations. There will be twelve business visits taking place during the week-long trip. We will not only have the opportunity to see reality-centered applications of QUEST tools, but also develop our professional skills on these visits.

Your support makes a significant impact!

This trip to Silicon Valley that kicks off on March 14th is the first time that we will be able to continue our QUEST education over Spring Break. Our goal is to reduce the cost of this trip by 50% for each of us through this crowdfunding initiative. The quest does not stop here as we are also seeking to make possible further opportunities to connect with alumni and corporate partners to make this course a truly sustainable and one-of-a-kind experience.

Stay tuned as we will be documenting what we learn and sharing this with our peers in the QUEST program!
