Meet the UMD Women's Club Volleyball Team! 

Work Hard, Play Hard

Over the span of the 2014/2015 school year, our organization, the University of Maryland Women's Club Volleyball team, has intensely trained to compete at a high level of play against other collegiate teams. Outside of our classes, we have attended multiple practices per week and particpiated at various tournaments on the weekends. When not playing volleyball, we bond over social events and restaurant fundraisers, which has led to building our chemistry as a team. We have successfully placed for the National Tournament every year, ranking 25th in the nation this past season. This year, the tournament is held in Kansas City, MO in mid-April.

New Opportunities

After holding Spring tryouts, it has been evident to us that there is an overwhelming amount of talent that has shown dedication to the group. As a result, our officers voted on sending two squads to Nationals this year, which is a new experience for us. In the past, there have been no funds to send two teams, let alone much money to send one. Given that our team this year holds so much potential for success at Nationals, it seems essential that we take advantage of this opportunity.

Help Us Reach Our Goal

Now that we have qualified again for Nationals this season, lack of funds would be the only reason we would miss out on this opportunity. The total cost to send all of our players to Nationals this year is approximately $10,000. Through crowdfunding, we hope to raise $5,000 to cut down on the costs for each player to compete. Your donations will help us pay for our plane tickets, hotels, entry fees, and other related expenses. With the help of this campaign, we look forward to competing again this year, in the hopes of making this season our most successful one yet!
