Hi everyone!
We had a great time at competition last weekend at the University of Delaware. Our team at UMD received overall third place! Our design report came in first place, oral presentation was second place, and overall final product was third place.
You'll get to see our canoe tomorrow at our Thank-You picnic! The event will begin at 10am and end at 2pm and will be in the Kim Engineering Plaza (outside). Parking is available in Lot 11b. You'll get to meet our team as well as the Steel Bridge team. Feel free to email umdconcretecanoepm@gmail.com if you have any questions!

Hello and Happy New Year!
Thanks to your help, we reached our fundraising goal in December! At the end of 2017, we practiced different techniques for laying concrete to prepare for the final concrete pour. The results were promising, and we are excited to keep working towards the competition in the spring.
We have purchased the final concrete canoe mold and construction will begin in February. Hopefully everything goes well!

Wow! We are so happy to see all of the community support from companies, family, and friends that have helped us reach this mini milestone! The money raised so far is enough to cover most of the cost of the practice canoe mold we are building, which will also be used to transport our canoe to competition.
