Hello!
Shelldon just completed his National Runs! He was off of the finish line by 3 meters in the first run and only 1 meter in the second run - making him take 11th place overall against 34 teams!
We are so proud of our car for being consistent through trial runs and improving throughout the day. Thanks to all who helped us with our car. We really have great supporters and are so happy to represent the University of Maryland.

ChemE Car @ UMD is almost at 100%. Please keep passing the word so we can reach our goal. The materials for the car are in and we are gearing up for Nationals. For your enjoyment, we have made a National Intro video (see link). The video will play as we go to run our first trial with Shelldon!

Hello All!
ChemE Car @ UMD would like to thank all that have donated to our student organization. We have 15 days left to reach our goal so any spread of the word will greatly be appreciated!
Nationals is coming up fast so with your donations we have begun to give our car Shelldon some sweet new upgrades:
1. Shelldon will be getting his wheels fixed
2. Shelldon will be getting some new chemicals for his reaction
3. Shelldon will be getting some new batteries
All of these upgrades will happen in the next week! We are so excited so make sure you check back with us to see how Shelldon is :)

This level would help pay for some of the screws, glue, and other basic items that are needed to assemble the car and make sure it meets safety requirements.
This level would help pay for some of the materials we need to improve our car before the National competition. Donating this much gets: An autographed photo of the team!
This level would help pay for some of our larger structure items such as the perforated board, motors, or wheel system that need to be replaced or refurbished.
This level would help pay for more reaction materials as well as updating the appearance of our 3D printed reaction chamber.
This level would help pay for 1 student to travel to the AIChE conference by providing money for airfare, food, hotel, and conference registration. Donating this amount gives: A meet and greet with the team and a regional competition visit!
This level would help pay for the registration fees for the members going to the national conference.
