Thank you so much to our donors for continuing to contribute to our project! Our donors have been giving so generously that it has only taken two days for us to reach our 30% progress mark, raising over $1,600!! Thank you for your continued support!

PHWB has successfully raised over $5,000 thanks to the amazing support of our generous donors! By reaching this milestone, we are now able to pay for one of our members to travel as well as materials to make our intervention a success! We will be printing workbooks and fliers to provide the children and community members with tangible resources that reinforce the topics of hygiene, water sanitation, conservation and oral rehydration therapy. The money will also help to pay for materials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and oral rehydration therapy kits to use at the health fairs we plan to host for the children and caretakers. With your continued support and donations, we hope to surpass our current milestone to fund the travel of other members of our organization and purchase more materials that will aid our intervention! Thank you!!

Dean Clark of the University of Maryland School of Public Health has challenged the University community to show their continued support of Public Health Without Borders by helping us exceed our original goal of $5,000 and raise even more money! Until May 12th, all donations will be matched, up to $2,000, so help us reach that maximum!! All of your donations go directly toward airfare and intervention materials to aid the programs that we have developed. An additional $4,000 would go a long way towards helping the community of Calaba Town, Sierra Leone gain access to clean water, good health and education. With just five days left in our campaign, we are approaching the final push to reach our new goal so thank you again for your continued support and donations!!

After an amazing four week journey, this fundraising campaign has exceeded all of our expectations! We are thrilled to have raised more than twice the amount of our original goal to reach just over $10,000! With the incredible support we have received from each of our donors, we are now able to fully fund our intervention efforts in Calaba Town, Sierra Leone during our trip this June. In addition to our donors, we would like to extend a special thank you to UMD President, Wallace Loh, and the Dean of the School of Public Health, Jane Clark, for their support of our project!
